Loads to do. Recommend the Deuce bus which runs the full length of the strip up to Fremont Experience and Welcome to Las Vegas sign which is a short walk from the Pinball museum. The tram is free b…Full review by judithvb

Hello. We have our first vacation to the Vegas Strip booked at the Venetian in late May. Reviews are making us rethink our plans. We will have our two teenage daughters with us. Is it safe for our family to be on the strip? How concerned should we be with the drug use, crime, and overall sketchiness of those other than tourists like us?

Totally agree with - "It is safe as long as you stay together. It's not a place where you are going to want to let your children to go off alone. " There were several drunk people and homeless are in every corner. Saw a few drunks passed out on sidewalk when went out in the morning. Lots of marijuana smells- everywhere! You will be approached by panhandlers and girls wanting to take a picture with you. You can spot them by their tall plumes they wear. They are everywhere - even downtown. Since they closed in the strip with sidewalks and crossovers, it can get crowded. We used Lyft to get places to avoid those areas at night. Lots to see and do but keep head on a swivel. We enjoy Vegas but are always aware of our surroundings.
Doing a surprise 40th bday trip for my husband in July and his two of his best friends as an all guys trip. What hotel would you recommend they stay at? He’s never been and always wanted to go. Any suggestions would be helpful! Thank you in advance

Really want to take my husband back to Las Vegas for our 5th wedding Anniversary, but not if there isn’t anything open to do. Is there anything you can actually do during this pandemic right now?
A:
Yes there is plenty to do right now. Mostly everything was open except for the day parties. But restaurants-bars-clubs were all open.
