Adam Jones said he is "ecstatic" to be back with the Orioles as a special advisor to GM Mike Elias and a community ambassador.

When Orioles players report to spring training, they'll have a new resource, sounding board and familiar face to help them through the season.

He also agreed to join the on-field staff as a guest coach for spring training, which begins Feb. 12 when pitchers and catchers report to the Orioles’ facility in Sarasota, Florida.
