UVA shelter-in-place order lifted, officials believe armed suspect left the area
UVA police say the suspect, Nyheem Hill, fled following an off-campus traffic stop near Ivy Road. The order was lifted around 1:40 p.m.

Update: UVa lifts shelter-in-place order, fugitive still on the run
Police spent much of Tuesday morning combing UVa for a fugitive with known gang ties who fled an off-Grounds traffic stop earlier in the day.

The University of Virginia Police Department has reported that the shelter-in-place has been lifted. Police believe the suspect has left the area, however, police will remain on the scene. Classes will resume on Wednesday.
