The Houston Police Department released footage Wednesday of a January police shooting that showed two officers shoot a man several times as he walked away from them while holding a gun. The footage differed from how HPD described it at the time.

A preliminary status report about Wednesday’s officer-involved shooting documents how officers engaged with the victim and the residents of the household.

Investigators do not yet know the motive for the deadly shooting other than saying it was related to a domestic dispute.
