India have taken control of the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final against New Zealand in Dubai. After being asked to bowl first, the Men in Blue were brilliant in the field and restricted New Zealand for 251 in the first innings.

Kane Williamson was ruled out of the remainder of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final due to a quad strain he sustained while batting. Mark Chapman replaced him on the field.

New Zealand have suffered a blow as they will be without the services of Kane Williamson in India's chase in the 2025 Champions Trophy final. Mark Chapman has taken the field in his place. India are chasing a target of 252 in the final.

Of his 1228 runs against India in 50 overs cricket, Williamson has 655 in victories over India, when his average jumps to a stunning 59.54....however he strikes at a lowly 75.56.
