The city conducted a much-anticipated Accelerated Moving Event at the Mayfair encampment Wednesday to connect residents with housing. The lack of affordable units on the Northwest Side is an ongoing barrier.

The Accelerated Moving Event aims to persuade those living at the park on the 4200 block of West Foster Avenue to accept housing or shelter opportunities and provide them with support services.
