Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson on Friday refused to say whether he will return $150,000 Chicago rapper Lil Durk contributed to the mayor’s political committee, a day after the artist was arrested in an alleged murder-for-hire plot.

CHICAGO (CBS) — Chicago rapper Lil Durk was charged in a murder-for-hire plot. This comes hours after five people associated with his music business were also accused in the case. Lil Durk, Durk Banks from Chicago, was arrested in Florida Thursday night. The plot targeted rapper Quando Rondo's cousin, who was killed in 20-22.

The 32-year-old rapper, whose real name is Durk Devontay Banks, was arrested on murder-for-hire charges and appeared in Florida court Friday. The murder-for-hire charges were filed in federal court in Los Angeles as part of a plan to avenge Durk’s friend, late Chicago rapper King Von, according to a criminal complaint unsealed Friday.
