Ohio State coach Ryan Day vs. former Notre Dame coach Lou Holtz is the real rivalry fans should be paying attention to ahead of the College Football Playoff National Championship between the Buckeyes and Fighting Irish.

It should be noted that Holtz was an assistant at Ohio State during the 1968 championship season under Woody Hayes so he has a little Scarlet and Gray in him as well.
