In a tightly contested game that extended into a shootout, the Philadelphia Flyers fell 3-2 to the Columbus Blue Jackets on the road.

Kent Johnson and Kirill Marchenko scored in the shootout as the Columbus Blue Jackets rallied to defeat the Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 on Tuesday night.

The Flyers extended their point streak to three games but shootout goals by Columbus' Adam Fantilli and Kirill Marchenko were the difference.

The Flyers have had the Blue Jackets’ number going into this game as their previous two meetings resulted in a 5-3 home loss on Dec. 12 and a 5-4 overtime loss on Dec. 21. However, Evason’s team learned from those games and came into this one knowing what they needed to do to win.

Playing their third game in four nights, John Tortorella's Philadelphia Flyers (19-20-5) are in Ohio on Tuesday evening to take on Dean Evason's Columbus Blue Jackets (20-17-6).

The Flyers are in Columbus tonight for the final time this season, and the CBJ is looking to beat Philadelphia finally. The Flyers come into this game having won their last two games and are 4-5-1 in their last 10.
