One person was transported to the hospital Sunday afternoon after an officer fired their weapon in Fort Lauderdale, officials said.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, one man was shot inside a vehicle in the parking lot. The victim drove to Century Farms, where he was found deceased. Officials said it is believed the shooting was targeted. No additional information was immediately released as the investigation continues.

Police are asking anyone in the area near the 1800 block of Holloway Avenue to review their cameras for any suspicious vehicles or activity.
