Olympic champion Zheng Qinwen moved into the Tokyo final but her opponent Sofia Kenin was left sweating on her fitness after retiring from her doubles match on Saturday.

Zheng hopes to add to a successful year in the Pan Pacific Open final. She reached the final of the Australian Open in January and won the Palermo Ladies Open in July. She captured Olympic gold in Paris this summer and has already qualified for the WTA Final.
