Snow should taper off in New York City by about midday on Sunday before temperatures plummet under clear skies later, as a quick moving winter storm sweeps through the US Northeast.
NEW YORK - Snow is still falling across New York City, New Jersey and southern Connecticut this Sunday morning, with several inches of accumulation expected to continue as winter weather advisories remain in place.
AccuWeather recently issued a weather warning for the New York City area, advising that temperatures will drop into the teens Sunday night into Monday morning. As the thermometer plummets, the weather alert warns that any moisture, slush or untreated surface will quickly refreeze after sundown.
