President Donald Trump said on Sunday that the United States will have control over U.S. Steel as part of the company's partnership with Japanese firm Nippon Steel .

President Donald Trump has once again stumbled over the names of Japan’s largest steelmaker and one of the world’s largest automobile makers. On Sunday, Trump was asked to expand on the $14 billion deal between United States Steel and Japan’s Nippon Steel.

After more than 17 months of lobbying and close-fought negotiations to secure control of United States Steel Corp., Japan’s Nippon Steel Corp. appeared on Friday to have received a presidential blessing.

During his commencement speech at the United States Military Academy at West Point, President Trump told cadets they're the first graduates "of the golden age of America." The address comes as the White House announced a major reduction in size of the National Security Council.

President Trump uses the first military commencement address of his second term to congratulate West Point cadets on their accomplishments while claiming credit for America's military prowess.
