After switching things up and opting for the Adios Neftenga silhouette on their last sneaker project, Wales Bonner and Adidas have linked up again to introduce new iterations of their popular Samba collaboration this week.

In the campaigns for her eponymous brand’s partnership with Adidas, Grace Wales Bonner has taken us to the training grounds of Kenya’s greatest runners, as well as the crystal-clear seas of Jamaica’s coast.

The latest arrivals feature re-coded sporting looks and reimagined iterations of the classic Samba silhouette.

In taking on the Superstar for the first time, Wales Bonner brings white croc leather for the bulk of the upper and blue croc leather for the stripes. Cream is then used for the smooth leather stitched mustache and tongue, as well as the shell toe and sole unit. Gold debossed branding then includes Wales Bonner’s name above the stripes.

The FW24 collection brings a new perspective to the Three Stripes, inspired by British subculture, her Caribbean roots, the global African diaspora, and of course, Hip-Hop.
