The United States Department of Agriculture is temporarily pulling its funding for the University of Maine System a week after the Trump administration sent a violation notice to Gov. Janet Mills (D-ME) for allowing transgender athletes to compete in women’s sports.

It's been only a few weeks since President Donald Trump clashed with Maine Gov. Janet Mills, but he's making good on his threat to cut funding to the state after Mills refused to ban transgender athletes.
