Winter Storm Watch in effect ahead of widespread snow, mix on Friday night into Saturday morning
A Winter Storm Watch is in effect ahead of a powerful winter storm coming in from the Ohio River Valley that could bring widespread snow to NYC and the Tri-State.
An updated winter storm watch was released by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 2:15 p.m. valid from Friday 7 a.m. until Saturday 7 a.m. for Elk, Clearfield, Cambria, Blair, Somerset and Bedford counties.
Another impactful winter storm is set to arrive as we head into the weekend, and it will bring a mix of snow and ice.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch at 1:07 p.m. on Wednesday valid from Friday 4 p.m. until Saturday 1 p.m. for Passaic, Hudson, Bergen, Essex and Union counties.
