Paul admitted as much following his regular-season debut with the Spurs on Thursday night. After signing a one-year, $11 million deal to team up with Popovich and second-year phenom Victor Wembanyama this offseason, Paul tied for a team-high in minutes (29) in the team's opener.

Between an aspiring point guard in Stephon Castle and a generational talent in Victor Wembanyama, Chris Paul has plenty to work with in San Antonio, and it seems he's already taken advantage.

Having signed a one-year, $10.5-million deal to come to San Antonio in July, the 39-year-old All-Star is set to make his debut with his new club Thursday when the Spurs open the regular season at Dallas. In doing so, Paul is set to join a rare club in NBA history.
