A Logan Airport passenger allegedly opened the door of a plane leaving Boston on Tuesday night, triggering the emergency slide to deploy, officials said.

A passenger on a JetBlue flight opened an emergency exit door and deployed the slide while the plane was taxiing at Logan Airport Tuesday night, the FAA said.

A JetBlue flight out of Logan Airport came to a “screaming” halt last night after a passenger attempted to open a wing door just before takeoff and climb out, State Police report.

A JetBlue spokesperson said a person attempted to open the door while the plane was taxiing in Boston and the emergency slide deployed.

A passenger aboard a JetBlue flight to Puerto Rico was detained after he opened an emergency exit door while the plane was on a taxiway at Boston Logan International Airport Tuesday evening, according to the authorities.

Other passengers physically restrained a passenger accused of opening an airplane door before take-off until police arrived.

Massachusetts State Police said they were notified that a JetBlue passenger had opened a door while the plane was taxiing. An emergency chute deployed over the left wing of the plane. Morales was held on $500 bail and ordered not to travel except to and from Puerto Rico for court appearances.
