A 72-year-old Long Beach man was found dead in his home Friday night. But what officials believed to be a suicide is now a homicide investigation.

The Long Beach Police Department is investigating after what initially appeared to be a man’s suicide on Friday was in reality a homicide. The victim, a 72-year-old man, died inside his home in the 4700 block of Greenmeadow Road,

The man was found dead in his own home from a gunshot wound that authorities originally thought was self-inflicted.
