A multi-vehicle crash in Orillia, Ont. has forced the closure of a part of Highway 11, as police work to remove the cars from the road.

A multi-vehicle collision on Highway 11 in Orillia on Friday morning has closed the highway in both directions, OPP said. Orillia Fire said they were being helped by Oro Medonte Fire, Simcoe County Police, and OPP at the scene in the southbound lanes between Old Barrie Road and Coldwater Road.

Whiteout conditions left people stranded for hours as emergency crews worked to clear the roads. CTV News Toronto’s Janice Golding has more on the chaos.
