OPP found a 15-year-old dead Friday afternoon in the town southwest of Ottawa and have charged a 16-year-old with second-degree murder.

Police have charged a 16-year-old with second degree murder following the death of a teenager in Perth on Friday. Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call to the area of North Street North and Sherbrooke Street East, where they found the body of a 15-year-old shortly before 3 p.m.

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating the death of a person whose body was found in Perth on Friday afternoon. A news release from the OPP said the body had been located in the area of North Street North and Sherbrooke Street West just before 3 p.m. Investigators did not believe there was a threat to public safety, the release added.
