One person was shot and killed late Saturday night in a neighborhood block less than a mile south of the University of Denver, according to the police department.

Denver Police are investigating a deadly shooting Saturday night. At 11:39 p.m., DPD posted that officers were investigating in the 2900 block of South Vine Street, a few blocks west of South University Boulevard.

Denver police reported the shooting in the 2900 block of South Vine Street just before midnight Saturday on X, saying one person had critical injuries. They later updated that the victim died at the scene.
