A settlement has been reached over race-based admissions at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and the U.S. Air Force Academy.

Months after President Donald Trump ordered the nation’s military academies to scrap policies that allowed admissions officials to consider race, an anti-affirmative action group this week dropped a pair of lawsuits against West Point and the Air Force Academy.

The Justice Department settled lawsuits challenging race-based admissions at military academies ending years of legal battles over how the schools select candidates.
