JD Vance became the third-youngest vice president sworn into office Monday, as the 40-year-old will serve alongside President Donald Trump. The Middletown native became the country's 50th vice president just two years after assuming his first public office as an Ohio senator.

The first sign recognizing Vice President JD Vance as Middletown’s native son was hung Thursday afternoon on Ohio 73 east at the entry into the city from Franklin.
