Newcastle dealt injury blow
Newcastle star Lewis Hall has revealed that he would have been willing to ‘play through’ his recent injury if it meant he could feature in the Carabao Cup final later this month. However, after receiving specialist advice, the defender has been ruled out for the remainder of the campaign.
When Willock reworked play to Hall, he crossed first time and low for Lewis Miley. The midfielder controlled and fired across Matz Sels. With Hall aged 20 and Miley 18, it was Newcastle’s first Premier League goal since January 2007 (James Milner assisting David Edgar) where the goalscorer and assister were both under 21.
