Meteorologists said that just after 5:40 p.m., a “severe thunderstorm” that could generate a tornado was moving near Molalla at 50 mph, according to radar.

The NWS had also issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Marion and Clackamas counties that started just before 5 p.m. and lasted until 5:43 p.m. It issued a wind advisory through 4 a.m.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Multiple Tornado Warnings were issued for the Portland metro Monday evening amid a heavy windstorm that could bring gusts up to 50 mph.

Add one to the tornado total from last weekend’s severe weather. The National Weather Service in Birmingham has confirmed one more tornado, an EF-0 in Moundville in Hale County. That tornado brings the total from a round of severe storms on Feb. 15 and 16 to 11 tornadoes.

One family’s home was knocked off the foundation during the tornado. This caused their living room and utility room to completely cave in. The family is working to get their belongings out of the home as well as their pets.

Although volunteers helped with the cleanup after the April tornado, work still awaits at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Elkhorn.
