The Chicago Bulls announced on Saturday that Derrick Rose’s No. 1 jersey will be officially retired next season.

The No. 1 jersey has not been worn by a Chicago Bulls player since Derrick Rose was traded to the New York Knicks in 2016.

Bulls president and CEO Michael Reinsdorf informed the Chicago product and former MVP in person on Saturday that his No. 1 will be sent to the rafters sometime during the 2025-26 season.

Rose will become the fifth Bulls player to receive the franchise honor during the ceremony that will be announced later.
