Indian star Shahid Kapoor scores $5 million in a week, at the global box office, with his new Hindi film 'Deva'.

Interestingly, Deva happens to be the Bollywood adaptation of the 2013 release Mumbai Police starring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead. Interestingly, Deva marks Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews debut in Bollywood and also marks Shahid's first collaboration with Pooja Hegde.

Helmed by Rosshan Andrrews, the movie minted ₹2.35 crore at the box office in India, according to early estimates reported by Sacnilk. Adding the 6-day collection, the total stands at ₹26.65 crore at the domestic box office. Deva had an overall 9.29 per cent Hindi occupancy on Wednesday with the maximum reported in NCR (12.50 per cent).

Rosshan Andrrews' Deva has failed to do wonders at the box office. Despite the trailer being well-received by the audiences, Deva couldn't attract them to watch the action thriller on the big screens.
