October 26 was Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, which is geared at keeping prescription drugs off the street. People could drop off their unused or un-necessary medication at different places to safely get them out of their home.

The Hailey Police Department collects a little over seven pounds of prescription drugs from the community for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

ST. PETERS, Mo. – Taking back old and unused prescription medication: That was the sole mission of National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday. Boxes were spread out across the St. Louis area, including in St. Peters, as part of a partnership between pharmacies and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency.
