Grocery prices are uncomfortably high for many Americans, and Walmart and Aldi both say they’re going to ease that pain for Thanksgiving shoppers. Other retailers will probably follow suit with similar holiday-meal deals,

Walmart is also offering its “inflation-free Thanksgiving meal” which the company said comes out to less than $7 per person. Shoppers can choose to buy the meal for themselves or to gift it to anyone across the country or even the local Salvation Army unit, the company said.

This month, ALDI announced it would be offering Thanksgiving meals at the lowest price since 2019, in a bid to lure shoppers with a return to pre-inflation era prices. This week, retailers Target and Walmart announced similar cuts in an effort to undercut ALDI’s offerings.
