Halifax police are investigating the death of a man who suffered gunshot wounds early Sunday morning. Police say officers responded to reports of shots fired in Dartmouth around 3 a.m. Sunday and found two people with gunshot wounds.

Police said they responded to a report of a shooting just after 3 a.m. Saturday and transported one person to the hospital.

It happened at around 2:50 a.m. in the 200 block of California Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Police did not specify whether the two involved were adults or minors and are still investigating the shooting and what led up to it.
